Details on how to join the ACM meeting online are below. Please read the meeting notes before joining.
The MRC will he holding its ACM online this year at 6pm on Sat 11th July, due to the cancellation of the 2020 National Championships. All members of British Canoeing are welcome to join the meeting, however if there are votes, only one member per marathon racing club may cast a vote.
The purpose of an ACM is to inform you of the major developments of the last year and forthcoming plans, to listen to your feedback and take forward any questions or issues to the next MRC meeting for debate. The agenda is now closed, so we can only discuss those items at the meeting, however we will take forward any other issues raised to our next meeting later in the summer.
Attendees will be muted most of the time to enable everyone to hear the meeting proceedings; if you wish to ask a question on any item please type it ALONG WITH YOUR NAME AND CLUB into the ‘chat’, and it will be picked up and either read out by a member of the committee, or we will ask you to un-mute yourself to speak to the meeting.
We do not expect to have to do any voting, but if the Chair feels one is required we will conduct it via the chat. The main voting item would normally be the elections, however we have only one candidate for Chair, and seven candidates for the seven MRC positions vacant or coming up for their 2 year re-election, so we propose to vote these through en bloc and will use the ‘chat’ facility to do this.
