British Canoeing’s vision is for the England Talent Sprint Programme to significantly contribute athletes to British Canoeing Olympic and Paralympic teams, supporting Great Britain to be the best in the world by 2028.
As demonstrated by the work currently underway through the Talent Club Partnership Programme there is the very real desire to further strengthen the talent environments within clubs as an integral and fundamental part of the athlete talent pathway within Sprint Racing.
Over the next few months (April/May/June) the England Sprint Talent Programme will be exploring what support structure is needed around the clubs and how the squad structure will work in order to support this.
The draft strategy can be found HERE, we welcome and invite your feedback by 13:00pm on Friday 26th April on this proposal HERE and would like to invite any English club to attend a consultation evening hosted at the British Canoeing Offices on Saturday 27th April at the HPP regatta (meeting after the event), please confirm your attendance HERE.
Official Results for the March Regatta have now been published. All regatta documentation can be downloaded from the Canoe Sprint Racing UK website.
The Sprint Competition Review Working Group is conducting a range of consultation activities to help us understand the views of the racing community. This is your opportunity to engage in the review and to ensure that your voice is heard.
The questionnaire provides paddlers and parents of paddlers with a valuable opportunity to provide feedback into their experiences competing in sprint racing regattas.
We would encourage you to participate in this survey if you are:
an adult who participates in sprint and/or marathon racing
the parent of a child who participates in sprint and/or marathon racing
a junior paddler (age 12 and over) who participates in sprint and/or marathon racing
an adult or junior K1 or C1 paddler (age 12 and over) who does not currently participate in racing
The questionnaire is online, simple to complete and can be accessed HERE
Closing date for responses is Wednesday 1st May
If you have any questions about the review or the questionnaire then please email email@example.com
