Notice for Team Leaders and competitors in the marathon 5km K2 assessment races:
For those paddlers taking part in the 5km assessment races, the Marathon Racing Committee has confirmed:
- the course will be 1 large lap to the 1000m mark and 2 small laps to the 500m mark,
- boats are to be sprint weight (18kg) not marathon weight,
- entries on the day will be charged a late entry fee of £19 rather than £14 if entered pre-regatta.
Notice for Team Leaders:
We are extending the entries deadline for the May 2017 regatta by 24 hours to Thursday 20 April 2017 at 23:59.
Unfortunately, we are still awaiting a fix for the bug that is stopping you entering crew boats for Masters events. There are also a few other small bugs impacting one or two clubs, which we are also trying to clear. I will advise the impacted clubs as soon as these are resolved.
Notice for Team Leaders:
Entries can now be accepted for the May regatta at https://canoesprint.britishcanoeing.org.uk.
The database has already been updated with promotions from the April regatta.
If you experience any problems, please contact Phil Caisley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
URGENT message for Team Leaders:
Apologies to Team Leaders for this late reminder but new paddler registration for inclusion in the May 2017 national sprint regatta closes at midnight tonight.
Practise Start Gate Session – Saturday 8th April 2017 – 9:00 to 9:30
If you have not used the start gates before or if you would like a refresher on how to line yourself up into the buckets, we will be holding an open practise session at the 200m start line before racing starts from 9.00 to 9.30 on Saturday morning.
To Team Leaders:
Paddler Registration for new paddlers has now re-opened. Please use your log-in for the Regatta Management System to access your club’s information. New paddler registrations should be made by selecting the following function and completing the required registration details:
We will confirm new paddler registrations with you.
Any Sprint Club Team Leader that has not already received a secure log-in to the regatta entry system, please let us know by emailing email@example.com.
Please be aware that the wording relating to boat buoyancy has been changed to help clarify what is required. The new wording, which comes into force at the April 2017 regatta, is now similar to the wording used for Marathon races:
Competitors and Team Leaders: Please ensure that all (your) boats are fitted with sufficient additional buoyancy to keep the boat and competitor afloat in the event of a capsize.
For Sprint Club Team Leaders:
Due to a small number of technical bugs still affecting some aspects of the registration system the Paddler Registration closing date for the April 2017 Regatta has been extended to midnight on Saturday 18th March 2017.
Thank you for your patience.
